Ticket offer from 9 euros to travel to various destinations
From this day, March 19, a new low-cost high-speed train option, Ouigo, launches its tickets on the market with extremely competitive prices. For just 9 euros, travelers can travel between multiple cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, Zaragoza, Tarragona, Albacete, Alicante, Valencia, Valladolid, Segovia and Conca.
Personalized services and benefits for passengers
Ouigo not only offers affordable rates, but also includes a series of services tailored to the needs of travelers. In addition to the standard baggage options, passengers can opt for XL seats at an additional cost, extra baggage and even the flexibility to change travel plans for a small fee.
Extension of routes and official authorizations
In addition to the connections already established, Ouigo plans to expand its destinations to include cities such as Valladolid, Segovia and Conca. With the aim of expanding even further, the company plans to reach places such as Elche, Murcia, Córdoba, Seville and Malaga, offering a total of 40 departures and 14 destinations.
Authorization of services and impact on competition
The National Markets and Competition Commission (CNMC) has recently approved the services requested by Ouigo for the Madrid-Segovia-Valladolid route. Despite the authorizations, the impact on Renfe’s revenues is expected to be minimal, thus ensuring healthy competition in the rail transport sector.
