Discovering Vic
Any day is ideal to rediscover the charming city of Vic. I recently had the opportunity to do so, and although I had a good reason, the truth is that you don’t need any excuse to visit this unique place.
The walk through the city, formerly known as Ausa, is always pleasant. The steep streets offer the promise of discovering something interesting at the top.
Gastronomy in Vic
During my visit, I had the opportunity to enjoy the Làctium Fair, where some of the best cheese producers in the region meet. In addition, I was lucky enough to discover places like El Bart bar, located in an impressive 17th century building.
El Bart’s menu offers a selection that, although not completely native, is carefully chosen to satisfy the most demanding diners. He especially highlighted the shrimp taco, where the quality of the product shined by itself.
The bacon and salmon sunomono is a risky combination that surprises with its unique flavor. Grilled vegetables with cheese, although delicious, could be presented more carefully to enhance their flavor.
The steak tartare, well seasoned and quality, is accompanied by tortilla chips, although personally I would prefer the dish to highlight the meat more.
The selection of local wines and the cocktail menu perfectly complement the gastronomic experience at El Bart.
Desserts for the end
The desserts, although they failed to excite me, offer a variety that is sure to please sweet lovers. Although, in my opinion, they could improve the regulation of sweetness and the presentation of the dishes.
In short, a visit to Vic is a quality choice to enjoy good gastronomy, where every corner offers a unique experience that is worth discovering.
