A lively Borrow full of cinema, shows and books
Borrow, | The week of the program ‘Viu Mllleu!’ reaches its halfway point with a wide variety of activities starting this Wednesday. Cinema, shows and books will fill Manlleu with energy. Below we will discover all the events planned for this week.
Wednesday, July 29
The Jardins de Can Puget will be the setting for the screening of the film ‘The Florida Project’ by director Sean Baker, a film that reflects social reality through the innocent eyes of children. The themed dinner and the screening will take place at 8 pm and 10 pm, respectively, with tickets starting at 3 euros.
Thursday, July 30
The Municipal Library of Manlleu presents the book ‘If this street were mine’ by Stephanie Kremser in a session at 8 pm. The author shares her experiences through the addresses where she has lived. The event will be led by Mita Casacuberta, PhD in Catalan philology.
Friday, July 31
The Escola de Dansa Maria Cinta will offer a new demonstration of the talent of its students followed by a free concert by Cobla Bisbal Jove in Plaça Fra Bernadí. Dance and music will be the protagonists of the night.
Saturday, August 1
Paula Valls, an artist from Manlleuil, will delight the public with a concert of Pop music and her own songs from 10 p.m. in Plaça Fra Bernadí. A musical event you can’t miss!
Sunday, August 2
On Sunday, a vermouth at the Embarcador del Ter will be combined with a concert by Lu Rois and a show by The Sing Sang Sung on the lawn of the Manlleu climbing wall, where a lesson will be given on how to sing ‘Applejack’ by the group The Triangles .
