The Berga City Council will approve the municipal budgets

If there is no last-minute plot twist, the Berga City Council will approve the municipal budgets this Thursday, March 21, in an extraordinary plenary session. The call for the session was sent at the same time Junts per Berga sent a statement to the media confirming its vote in favor of the accounts after agreeing with the government team – made up of the CUP and ERC – including the decalogue of proposals prepared by the turquoise formation.

Actions agreed by Junts per Berga

According to the councilors of Junts, headed by Ramon Caballé, the agreed actions respond to different sectoral areas in which more progress is needed and which are fundamental for the city to improve. The project to bring water to Queralt stands out, which will be provided with 133,000 euros. Funds will also be allocated for the improvement of educational centers, urban road cleaning, gardening and children’s parks, as well as for the improvement of sports facilities.

Economic promotion and attention to people

With regard to economic promotion, it has been agreed to allocate funds to unblock proposals for the Valldan Industrial Estate. Resources will also be reserved for the approval of the APEU and for actions in matters of employment and social assistance. In short, these budgets aim to advance in different areas to improve the city of Berga.

Support required to approve accounts

It should be noted that the government coalition does not have a majority, so it needed the support of Junts per Berga to approve the municipal budgets. Other political forces such as Berga Grup Independent and the Berga PSC have not yet announced their position regarding the accounts.
