Excitement and challenge of pregnancy
Dulceida and Alba Paul are waiting for their first daughter, who will be born at the end of this year. Dulceida describes this stage as a mixture of dream and unexpected reality. Although she considers that the best thing in her life will be having her daughter, she has discovered that getting pregnant is not as idyllic as she had imagined. ‘It’s a hard stage and I can’t stand feeling bad for several days. Even, at first, I imagined that vomiting would be something nice because she was very excited… but no, it’s something heavy,’ she recently shared with Laura Escanes.
Social challenges of pregnancy
Another challenge she faces is being one of the few mothers in her close circle. While her friends continue to go out and make lots of plans, she feels somewhat depressed when she participates in these gatherings. However, she emphasizes that it is worth being pregnant: ‘Was it worth it? Yes. Would she do it millions more times? Also.’ One advantage of her is that she can now ask others to do things for her under the excuse of her pregnancy, something she loves.
Criticism and negative reactions
Despite her enthusiasm, Dulceida has faced a lot of criticism during her pregnancy. Recently, there were those who failed her for having cameras recording her process. According to her, her negative comments were ‘very harsh’: ‘They told me that they didn’t understand the need to record it and sell it. But the reality is that that week they were monitoring me at home. We didn’t expect it to happen, it was recorded because it’s my current reality.’
Judgments about future motherhood
Dulceida also regrets that they judge her for details of her future motherhood. Since she made her daughter’s name public, she has received several criticisms. ‘We were debating between Alex and Aria, and suddenly people told us how we were going to name her Aria if she is an ugly name, or if her cat is called that. They even criticized Àlex for a girl. “It’s an unnecessary trial,” she declared.
Doubts about your professionalism
The criticism that has affected him the most has to do with his work. Recently, his professionalism has been questioned, which he finds very annoying. Before Laura Escanes, Dulceida expressed her frustration: ‘Just yesterday, I worked until one in the morning on a shoot of more than 10 hours, while I was pregnant, without hesitation in going to work even if I felt bad.’ Alba Paul supported these statements, highlighting Dulceida’s commitment to her work despite the difficulties of her pregnancy.
