A day full of discoveries
When we reach a certain age, mobility takes on a fundamental role in our day-to-day life. There are several options for getting around and each one offers a unique experience. Sugar and monotony can be valid reasons to get going. This is especially true if we live in a small town, where a breakfast of dried fruit can be the perfect starting point for a day full of discoveries. On the other hand, if we are in a metropolis, public transport can be the ideal antidote to face the bad morning mood.
Exploring new paths
The itinerary I undertake has two main axes: the rambles and the road. Going up Carrer Ciscu Sáez until you reach the ambulatory is the starting point. Afterwards, a walk through the rambles and a descent down Carrer Laureà Miró mark the beginning of a day full of surprises. When I arrive at Carrer dels Arbres, I occasionally choose to enter Carrer Falguera. Then I head through Passage Carnisser, Sant Josep, Rupert Lladó and, finally, through Monturiol, back to the road. The route ends by taking the Passage de l’Alumini to reach the General Prim. To finish, I take the Old Cemetery Path. All this means an hour and a quarter of walking if I do it calmly. It is clear that the itinerary can be affected by the works, as happened this morning with the curtain sail of Ca l’Escala, the village’s alpha cobbler. These small incidents can derail the course, but they can also lead to unexpected discoveries.
Overcoming small obstacles
During this day, I had to overcome small obstacles, such as the presence of very long stairs in the curtain sail of Ca l’Escala. Although stairs give me some anxiety, this experience has not stopped me from continuing on my way. This situation has also made me reflect on the frivolity with which these issues are often approached. Ultimately, this day was an opportunity to explore new paths and overcome small obstacles.
Conclusions
In short, this day was an opportunity to discover new corners of the city and overcome small obstacles. While the passage of time can pose a challenge to mobility, this experience has highlighted the importance of staying active and exploring new paths. Thus, each day becomes an opportunity to experience new adventures and continue to discover the beauty of the city.
