The Provincial Council of Barcelona promotes two initiatives in Manlleu
The Economic Promotion Office of the Manlleu City Council has received two grants from the Diputació de Barcelona to launch two projects to promote society 4.0 in Manlleu in 2019.
Industry 4.0 consulting project for companies
The first project consists of an Industry 4.0 advisory program for companies, especially small and medium-sized companies. This program offers personalized advice with experts in business digitization, with the aim of promoting the digital transformation of the industry and the role of people in this context of business change.
The advice starts with a meeting with each company to identify their needs and points for improvement. From here, a work plan is developed that extends from September to December of this year. At the end of the program, each company will receive a report with the results of the consultation, recommended improvement actions and short- and medium-term recommendations.
Strategic project for society 4.0
The second project aims to define an innovative territorial strategy to face the challenges of society 4.0. This strategy is part of sustainable local development, addressing the areas of the economy, society and the environment.
These projects have been launched thanks to the Economic Promotion Office of Manlleu City Council and the Manlleu Quatre association, an initiative that works to turn Manlleu into a leading city in the implementation of Industry 4.0. The aim is to encourage the broad development of Industry 4.0 and generate multiple applications in this area.
