A Multifaceted Presenter

Jorge Javier Vázquez is known for his work on television, but his talent goes beyond the small screen. In addition to being an outstanding presenter, Jorge Javier also stands out in other shows that highlight his artistic and uninhibited vein.

Recently, Jorge Javier has been selected to lead the show Locobongo XXL, an extravagant show that brings together renowned figures from the world of entertainment on the prestigious stage of the WiZink Center in Madrid.

A Show Overflowing with Energy

In this show, Jorge Javier is not only in charge of presenting the different performances, but also stars in his own musical number. He has surprised everyone with a medley of songs like ‘Pavo Real’ and ‘The Sexual Revolution’.

Jorge Javier’s effort and dedication are reflected in the videos that circulate on social networks, where he can be seen dedicated and exhausted after each presentation. In a column for Lecturas, Jorge Javier shares his experience and confesses: ‘I spent the whole week rehearsing my musical number and I came home totally exhausted.’

Stage Fright

Despite his experience on stage, Jorge Javier confesses that before each performance he feels the typical stage fright. He acknowledges that the fear of going blank in the middle of the performance has crossed his mind, but that has not stopped him from giving his all in each presentation.

In his own words: ‘It’s 10am and I’m still recovering in bed. Today I don’t think I’ll reach 500 steps out of the 10,000 that I force myself to take every day. I really enjoyed yesterday meeting Mónica Naranjo, Merche and Melody. I had a very exciting time with Nebulossa in the dressing room, lovely people.’

Reunion with Sálvame Companions

One of the most anticipated moments of the show was the reunion of Jorge Javier with his Sálvame colleagues, Lydia Lozano and Chelo García Cortés. Jorge describes this meeting as ‘the great culmination’ and a ‘happy’ moment in which he was able to see his ‘family’ again. During the show, they shared stories and talked at length, although Jorge prefers to keep the details of those conversations secret.

An Artist Without Shame

One of the most striking images of the show was that of Jorge Javier dressed up and full of feathers. He himself admits that he needs to have little shame to go on stage dressed that way, but he also confesses that he loves being able to do it. In his own words: ‘They put feathers and boas on me and then I was left in a bodysuit. The stage, behind the makeup and exaggerated costumes, becomes that magical place where prejudices do not exist. Life is much more entertaining on stage.’
