Reading Club of the month of April
The Reading Club for the month of April will take place on Thursday the 25th at 7 pm in the Library. On this occasion, the members of the Reading Club will have the opportunity to read and comment on the novel Fear by Stefan Zweig. The session will be led by Núria Martínez, as usual.
XXII edition of the Solstice Literary Award
The Antoni Pladevall i Font library, together with the Solstice Award Committee, has announced the XXII edition of the premium.cat Literary Solstice Award. This year, there are several new features. The three categories remain (A – Jordi Capell Award) – Up to 12 years, made throughout 2024; B – From 13 years and up to 17, made throughout 2024; C: From the age of 18, made throughout 2024) and the modes of poetry and prose.
Saint George’s Eve at the Libraries
Once again, the premium.cat Library joins the Revetlla de Sant Jordi a les Biblioteques. This celebration is in its twelfth edition and will take place on April 22 from 7 p.m. Noemí Morral will present ‘From sea to sea: Geographical and poetic journey’.
La Negra Novel Festival
Assumpta Montellà, Tura Soler, Narcís Bardalet and Jordi Grau will be at premium.cat in the days before the Black Novel Festival. This festival offers a wide variety of events in the days leading up to the talks between the authors, which will take place on the 12th and 13th of April. Núria Martínez, curator of premium.cat Negre, will present her second novel ‘Bruta i eschinzada’ on Wednesday, April 10 at 7 pm in the Library.
Reading Laboratory
On Tuesday, April 9 at 2/4 of 6 in the afternoon, the Reading Laboratory ‘Expedient pancha plena: The case of the ferocious wolf’ will be held. This workshop aims to bring children closer to the character of the wolf through literature and to make known illustrated albums starring this animal.
La Negra Novel Reading Club
The third novel by the author Aniol Florensa Lladrucs, ‘A les estrelles’, will be the book that will be discussed in the Black Novel Reading Club for the month of April. The session will coincide with the week of premium.cat Negre and will take place on Monday, April 8 at 7 pm. Núria Martínez, commissioner of premium.cat Negre, will lead the session and the author will be present thanks to the Catalan Letters Institute (ILC).
Presentation of the book ‘Rigor Mortis’
Journalist Tura Soler, well-known event specialist, presents her new book ‘Rigor Mortis. The cases of the forensic scientist Narcís Bardalet’. The presentation will take place on Saturday, April 6 at 11 a.m. at premium.cat, specifically in the non-confessional room of the Funeral Home. The author, Narcís Bardalet and Jordi Grau will be in charge of presenting the book.
Book presentations
In the days leading up to premium.cat Negre, three book presentations will be held. The first will take place on Friday April 5 at 7 pm with the book ‘Via Morta’ by Assumpta Montellà, the author’s fiction debut. On Tuesday, April 2, from 2/4 of 6 in the afternoon, there will be a new session of Tastallibres at the Library, by Clara Vinyeta, responsible for the children’s room of the Premium.cat Library.
