The wait is over with the new movie

Following the premiere of ‘Padre no hay más que uno 4’, Loles León has given a new interview that is aligned with the promotion of this recent installment of the popular saga, directed by Santiago Segura. In this new film, the renowned Spanish actress takes on the role of the grandmother in the family story, which has surprised many of her followers. Although she has already been a grandmother in real life, this is the first character of this type that she has played.

An unexpected revelation

During the conversation, Loles León shared a quite shocking anecdote about her initial interaction with Santiago Segura, who offered her the role of his mother. The actress recounted how, after her proposal, Segura contacted her again to inform her that the producer did not consider that she fit the image of her mother. This statement did not sit well with the actress.

Defending your talent

León was quick to express to Santiago Segura and the team that her task as an actress is to create characters that can be very different from her own personality. “I told him that I had the ability to look like his mother, that that is what my profession requires. I have made three films and everyone has believed in my interpretations. Finally, Milagros, my character, has traits that, although they are similar to mine , is distinguished by her energy and her positive aspect: she is the eternally young one who does not accept aging and is always ready to enjoy life.”

Conflicts and opportunities in your career

In the same interview with the newspaper El Mundo, Loles has shared more about her career as an actress. Despite having a recurring role in the successful series ‘La que se cerca’, she does not limit herself to waiting for opportunities to come to her. “Now I feel great because I’m also in ‘La que se cerca’, which seems to have no end. However, I always try to be on the move and I don’t wait for them to call me.”

A proactive attitude

The actress has admitted that if she meets a director on the street or at events, she does not hesitate to approach him and ask about possible roles. “If I see a director, I approach him and ask him: ‘Are you about to release something? Do you have a small role for me?’. I did that with Pedro Almodóvar from the beginning and it went very well,” Loles León recalled with humor. .
