Musical Activities in Manlleu
The city of Manlleu is preparing to host several musical activities that will fill the streets with varied melodies and rhythms. This initiative is part of the celebration of the 40 years of the Manlleu Municipal School of Music and promises to offer an enriching experience for all music lovers.
Cantata i Musical
One of the outstanding proposals is the cantata that will bring together around 500 primary and secondary school boys and girls from Manlleu to interpret the play “El Serpent de Manlleu” by Josep Vila i Casañas, with the special participation of the Serpent dels Menuts Committee. In addition, the Quatre Vents school will present the musical “La Gran Llegenda, El Musical”, based on the legend of St. Jordi, with two sessions open to all citizens at the Municipal Theater of Manlleu.
Maria Canals International Music Competition
The Maria Canals International Music Competition, which will take place on Friday 6 May, will make available to the public three pianos located in different parts of the city. This event will have the participation of students from the Municipal Music School of Manlleu, educational centers, the Sant Tomàs occupational center and the Llar Residencia de Manlleu, offering a day full of music and local talent.
