A Deep Look at the Consequences of Sharing Nudes on the Internet
Next Thursday, May 30, the 3Cat platform will present Nudes, a 9-episode miniseries that explores the personal and legal repercussions of sharing nudes online. This production warns about the various forms of digital violence that especially affect young people, offering a raw and realistic look at this current problem.
Nudes is part of 3Cat’s commitment to varied content that seeks to raise awareness among children, adolescents, families and society in general about the dangers of overexposure on screens and the misuse of new technologies.
A Thematic Night and Educational Content
On June 11, Nits sense ficció will offer a thematic night dedicated to this topic, including the premiere of the documentary Trapped by the Screen, which analyzes the sociological experience of 10 young people deprived of electronic devices for a week. In addition, a special program will be broadcast with relatives of these young people and experts in the field. That same day, the SX3’s InfoK children’s news program will address children’s overexposure to screens. These contents reinforce the initiative of previous projects such as Generació porno, Cibercrimenes and the SX3 Academy.
Nudes: Empowerment and Awareness
The miniseries Nudes presents the stories of three minors who must learn to regain control of their lives after the leak of intimate images. With a raw and realistic approach, the fiction seeks to raise awareness about the importance of intimacy in the era of social networks and the various forms of digital violence, such as sextortion, cyberbullying, catfishing, childgrooming, sexpreding and ghosting. .
Furthermore, Nudes aims to empower young people to overcome these situations and report them, placing the focus of guilt on those who spread nudes without consent, not on the victims.
An Impact Production and Outstanding Collaborations
Nudes is a 3Cat production in collaboration with Vértigo Films, a Spanish subsidiary of Wild Bunch, and ESCAC Studio, a production company associated with the Higher School of Cinema and Audiovisuals of Catalonia. This fiction is a remake of a Norwegian miniseries awarded as best youth series in Norway and the United Kingdom.
