Activities and open days at the Ozona museums
Osona commemorates International Museum Day with a wide variety of activities and open days at its museums. This celebration coincides with the weekend and offers visitors the opportunity to get to know the region’s museums up close.
The Ozona museums have prepared a wide range of activities for all tastes and ages. Activities include exhibitions, Roman breakfasts, walks and old book markets. In addition, each museum has selected a special piece to present as the jewel of the museum.
We highlight some activities
Industrial Museum of Ter
The Industrial Museum of Ter de Manlleu will inaugurate the exhibition ‘Captured Landscapes. 1896-1907; The photographic legacy of Francesc Rierola’. In addition, dramatized visits will be held to find out what it was like to work in the factory in the 19th century.
House Museum Verdaguer
The Jacint Verdaguer Foundation of Folgueroles has scheduled several activities, such as a conference on Teodor Lorente and the Homage to Verdaguer, the opening of the exhibition ‘El Pedró. One hundred years (1908-2008)’ and a poetry recital.
Archaeological Museum of the Left
The Archaeological Museum of the Esquerda in Roda de Ter will inaugurate the exhibition ‘L’Esquerda, jo i la família’, a photographic exhibition that explores the relationship of the people of Roda with the archaeological site.
Leather Art Museum
The Museum of Leather Art in Vic will offer a last chance to visit its internal spaces, such as the restoration workshop, the library and the warehouse, as these spaces are pending a redefinition.
Other participating museums and activities
In addition to the museums mentioned, other museums in the Osona region also participate in this celebration. The Episcopal Museum of Vic has scheduled a Night of the Arts and a medieval tour, while the Camp de les Lloses de Tona offers a Roman breakfast. Other museums, such as the European Cultural Center of Nature in Viladrau and the Water and Tree Museum, the Museum of La Torneria de la Vall del Ges, the Mas Colomer de Taradell, the Monastery of Sant Pere de Casserres and the Friends of Osona Museums also offer open days throughout the weekend.
