A decade of music and concerts

After ten years of making music, thirty songs and eighty concerts all over the country, Seikos says goodbye to the stage. The band from Sant Feliuen has announced that their last concert will be on Saturday, May 11 at the ButifarraSound festival, as they have communicated through a video on social networks.

The beginnings and evolution of Seikos

In 2014, a group was born in Sant Feliu made up of teenagers with a passion for music. They met on Friday afternoons in the Casal de Joves rehearsal rooms to play. Little by little, the Seikos project took shape and they performed for the first time in Plaça Lluís Companys on a Sant Joan night in 2015. Since that moment, the band from Sant Feliuen has continued to offer concerts in different places of the territory and has become professional with the publication of his studio albums.

The first album, titled ‘Strictly Personal’, was released in 2016. Seikos then released the second album ‘Viaje al Centro’ in 2019 and the third album ‘Estival’ in 2022.

The last concert and expectations

According to Asier Garcia, the group’s guitarist, the last concert will be a special occasion. The show will be longer than they usually do and will include songs they haven’t performed in a while. There will also be some special collaborations that will surprise the audience. Garcia states that it will be an apotheosis concert to close this stage of ten years of music.

The musical influence of Seikos

Seikos’ music has evolved from reggae and ska to pop-rock. Their songs have been influenced by reference bands such as La Raíz, La Gossa Sorda, Obrint Pas and Oques Grasses. The band’s first album reflects the Valencian scene, while the most recent works have a touch of pop-rock.

The members of Seikos

The band is made up of Yon Iriarte and Roger Clemente on vocals, Asier García on guitar, Arnau Rius on bass, Neus Aranda on trumpet, Enric Ramón on tenor sax, Guillem Salles on drums and Edu Núñez on keyboards. All of them will put an end to their career at one of the first stages where they performed, the ButifarraSound festival.

A farewell with memories

In addition to the last concert, Seikos members recall some highlights from the past few years. Among them, the presentation of the album ‘Viaje al Centro’ at La Nau in Barcelona and the concert at ButifarraSound in 2018, where they saw the Lluís Companys square full to the brim.

With a ten-year career, Seikos says goodbye to the stage with a special concert that promises to be unforgettable for its fans.
