The councilor for culture and media of the Manlleu City Council, Eva Font, has prepared a selection of cultural activities to take advantage of during the confinement. These activities are organized by different Manlleuen organizations and offer a wide variety of proposals for all tastes.

The Manlleu Municipal Library is very active on social media, sharing resources for children, museum links, book recommendations, story videos and crafts. In addition, the historian and librarian Joan Arimany offers interesting Manleau curiosities through the library’s social networks. Another outstanding activity is the ‘Voices of Manlleu’ project, where more than 40 local writers share fragments of their works in daily videos. Work is also underway to adapt ‘L’Hora del conte’ so that it can take place even when the library is closed. In addition, you can access the e-biblio for e-book loans.
Museums
The Museu del Ter offers a YouTube channel with documentaries, educational proposals and videos about the textile history of Manlleu. You can also enjoy the plays of ‘Corcia Teatre’ at the Museu del Ter and follow their stories and old photographs on social networks. Other museums such as the National Art Museum of Catalonia and the History Museum also offer online exhibitions. In addition, the Museu del Ter has a web page where you can listen to birdsong and has recently released the translation into Spanish and English. A cycle of screenings of plays performed in Manlleu is also being prepared in collaboration with the Teatre Center Cultural Association.
