According to the OCU, the best supermarket juice is the Carrefour brand 100% squeezed orange juice, which can be found within the BIO product range. This juice has obtained the gold medal in the OCU study and has a price of €2.99/l.

Other recommended options

In addition to Carrefour orange juice, the OCU has also highlighted other supermarket juices. Among them are Alcampo peach, apple and grape juice and Alcampo orange juice.

Consumption recommendations

The OCU reminds that juice consumption must be moderate and cannot replace a piece of fruit. The sugar content of juices should be taken into account, as a single juice can contain a considerable amount of sugar. The organization recommends not exceeding 5% of daily calories in the form of free sugars.

Choose the best juice

According to the OCU, the best juices are those that are less processed and contain no additives or added sugars. Squeezed juices are considered the best option. On the other hand, juices made from concentrate and with the addition of water and sugars or sweeteners have a low nutritional value.
