A milestone in the history of Casa Real
Last Wednesday, June 19, Casa Real commemorated the 10th anniversary of the proclamation of Felipe VI as king of Spain, succeeding Juan Carlos I. During this event, the undisputed protagonists were princesses Leonor and Sofia, who managed to surprise everyone by breaking protocol and toasting in honor of his father, dedicating emotional words to him that moved those present.
The evolution of Leonor and Sofía
Leonor and Sofía have experienced notable growth and evolution. At 16 years old, Princess Leonor has undertaken her military training, while Infanta Sofía follows in her footsteps. The latter, after living the experience of studying in Wales, feels more free and independent, discovering her life as an ordinary teenager.
Control and freedom
Despite her freedom, Sofia finds herself under Letizia’s scrutiny at the Welsh boarding school, where the queen closely monitors her behavior and performance. Although outside the institution, the infanta enjoys greater autonomy.
Independence and differences
Sofía has demonstrated a marked change and a firm personality, challenging some norms imposed by Letizia. Despite being a few months before reaching the age of majority, the infanta shows a maturity that distinguishes her from her sister Leonor.
Sofia’s future
Sofía’s future is uncertain as she concludes her international baccalaureate. She could pursue military training like Leonor or enter university directly, opening up the possibility of a life outside of Zarzuela, with the freedom to choose her own path and forge her own destiny, in stark contrast to Leonor’s trajectory. .
