The new Euphonic: a unique experience of sound and visual arts

A new edition of the Euphonic festival

After having successfully overcome the break with the Ràpita City Council last year, the festival of sound, visual and digital-performative arts Eufonic is back with a new edition. This year, the festival will be held at the beginning of summer, between July 4 and 14, a month earlier than in recent editions. The new Eufonic promises a unique experience that combines art, science and concerns about the environment and natural heritage.

Euphonic Terra: oil and clementine as protagonists

One of the novelties of this edition is the Eufonic Terra, a thematic line that focuses on two alcoholic products: oil and clementine. Through this proposal, the festival seeks to establish links between art, science and concern for the environment and natural heritage. It will be an opportunity to explore the connections between these elements and reflect on their importance in our society.

News and outstanding activities

The thirteenth edition of the Euphonic festival will include several novelties and outstanding activities. One of them is the ‘Botcamp’, digital camps that will focus on automation, bots and generative code. In addition, the results of the creative residencies ‘Fonópteros’ by Miguel Aparicio and ‘Santuario’ by Alba Matilla can be seen at the Lo Pati Art Center in Amposta. There will also be artistic installations in different locations in the Terres de l’Ebre, such as Tortosa and Ulldecona.

Dance, technology and algorithms

Dance mixed with technological devices and algorithms will play a prominent role in this edition of the festival. Through the STNBL call, several proposals will be presented that combine dance with technology. Some of the outstanding installations are ‘Human Learning’ by Eneritz Tejada, ‘Orbita #3.5 | A distant skin’ by Núria Nia and Citlali Hernández, and ‘Inside the light’ by PoleTwo.

Co-Vision: a European collaboration

Another novelty of this edition is the Co-Vision project, which involves seven European festivals in the co-production of cultural content. This initiative aims to address environmental challenges and encourage the participation of citizens, artists and local entities. It is an opportunity to create synergies and exchange knowledge between different regions of Europe.

A commissioner of only 13 years

One of the curiosities of this edition is the addition of a very young curator. Llibert Espuny, a 13-year-old, has been appointed curator of the festival and is the star of this year’s poster. This decision highlights the festival’s commitment to the inclusion and participation of new generations.
