A New Generation With Subtle Changes and Technological Innovations
The Nissan Qashqai, an undisputed benchmark of the Japanese brand since its debut in 2007, has undergone a renewal in its third generation. The changes, although subtle, bring freshness and modernity to the model, as revealed by the test carried out by Autobild. The updated design maintains the original proportions, but features a new grille inspired by the armor of a Japanese warrior, as well as new headlights with sequential turn signals. Inside, the technological bet is clear with Google’s operating system based on Android Automotive, offering an integrated and updated experience without depending on a mobile phone.
Mechanics and Prices: Efficiency and Versatility
The 2024 Nissan Qashqai maintains its mechanical range, offering four-cylinder micro-hybrid engines with outputs of 140 and 158 hp, as well as a 190 hp hybrid model known as ePower. All these engines have the DGT’s ECO Label, highlighting their efficiency and lower environmental impact. Most versions come with 4×2 drive, but some variants equipped with the 158 hp engine and automatic gearbox are also available with 4×4 drive, offering versatility and adaptability to different driving conditions.
Launch and Competitive Prices
The launch of the 2024 Nissan Qashqai is planned for the end of June, with more competitive prices and improvements in equipment. A price reduction has been announced on several trims, with improvements of up to 1,500 euros compared to previous versions. These changes place the starting price of the 140 HP Qashqai DIGT MHEV at 31,200 euros. Despite these advances, the test revealed some issues to consider, such as slow automatic shifting, high consumption on the road and strange brake feel, which could affect the driving experience and user satisfaction.
