The Toyota Yaris: A Successful Model in Europe

The Toyota Yaris has been one of the Japanese firm’s best-selling models, establishing itself as a benchmark in the European automobile market. Since its launch in 2020, it has added more than 18,000 registrations in Europe. And it is currently the second best-selling Toyota in Spain with 7,527 units. It is only surpassed by the Corolla, which is not only Toyota’s most marketed, but also the second best-selling car in our country.

The GR Yaris 2024: A Sporty and Exclusive Version

The prominence of the Yaris is destined to increase even more with the premiere of its new, sportier version: the GR Yaris 2024. This model, of which all the details are already known, has arrived with prices that may make more than one think, since it is not exactly cheap.

Power and Performance

The mechanics of the Toyota GR Yaris 2024 are presented in two versions, both based on a 1.6-liter turbo gasoline engine with three cylinders, capable of delivering 280 HP of power and a maximum torque of 390 Nm. This engine is not electrified, which may be a point to consider in a market increasingly oriented towards electrification.

Design and Equipment

As for equipment, the standard finish is the RZ, although packages such as Circuit, Touring and Touring Plus can be added. Standard features include multiple airbags, 18-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights and lights, and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. They also highlight the Toyota Smart Connect+ infotainment system with an 8-inch touch screen, which includes navigation, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, as well as USB and Bluetooth connection.

Price and Exclusivity

But all this deployment of technology and features has its price. The version with manual transmission of the GR Yaris 2024 has a cost of 49,500 euros, while the version with automatic transmission rises to 57,000 euros. These prices place the GR Yaris in a premium market segment within compact sports cars, clearly targeting an audience that seeks high performance and exclusivity.
