Aragonès encourages employers to maintain confidence
President Pere Aragonès, who recently announced early elections for May 12, has highlighted the importance of maintaining self-esteem and confidence in the country’s opportunities. During the annual Banco Sabadell Company of the Year 2023 gala, Aragonès highlighted Catalonia’s economic successes, such as record exports, the lowest unemployment rate in 16 years and the growth of industry. Despite international uncertainties and supply problems, the Catalan economy has demonstrated a great capacity for resilience. Aragonès has also reiterated his criticism of the fiscal deficit affecting Catalonia.
Collboni emphasizes the stability of the municipal government
The mayor of Barcelona, Jaume Collboni, has defended a municipal government that has a clear project and advocates for stability. In contrast to the situation in the Generalitat, Collboni has highlighted that Barcelona city council promotes and dialogues with the city. With its presence at the gala, Collboni has reaffirmed its commitment to the development and progress of the Catalan capital.

Aigües de Barcelona has been recognized as Company of the Year 2023 Banco Sabadell, while Marco Sansavini, president of Vueling, has been named Entrepreneur of the Year. Other awarded companies include Picvisa for its contribution to industry 4.0, 011h for its business sustainability, Moventia as a family business, Soler& Palau for its international projection, Peptomyc for its innovation and Value Retail for its commitment to inclusion.
