Constant actions of works and extensions in the community
This morning saw the arrival of several municipal officials, with the Consul Major, Rubén Cerni Cairat, leading the initiative. Construction actions have been carried out to continue the expansion of pedestrian spaces in a specific area of the town. Despite the dismantling of the work, at number 24 of this road, the work has been interrupted unexpectedly. This incident has caused movement on part of the platform and has required immediate action. Damages caused are exclusively material.
Security measures against the situation
Although the firefighters ensure the safety of the area, the decision has been taken to cut one of the two lanes of the road to avoid unnecessary risks. An alternate passing system regulated by a traffic light has been established in the remaining lane. In addition, the passage of vehicles over 3.5 tonnes has been restricted from tonight until further notice. The company in charge has resumed work immediately and the priority is to ensure and guarantee the safety of the site.
Forecast for the re-establishment of the passage and repairs
The consul, Rubén Cerni Cairat, has confirmed that the situation does not present serious risks and only material damage has occurred. With the intention of restoring normality, it is hoped that in the coming days the state prior to tonight’s incident can be restored. First, the area where the mishap occurred will be cleaned and sanitized. Subsequently, the necessary repairs will be carried out to restore the integrity of the ceded wall.
