Maxime Pourveur, a specialist in vine sporangia

Maxime Pourveur, a member of Marceau Bourdarias’ French Architecte du Vivant team, will be in Manresa next Friday and Saturday to share his knowledge of vine sporga. The sessions will be held at Celler El Molí in Collbaix, under the organization of the Manresa Agricultural School.

The vine sporga and its importance in viticulture

Pruning is an essential practice in viticulture that has a significant impact on the formation of the vine, production, quality and characteristics of the harvest, as well as on the plant’s resilience to climatic extremes. Maxime Pourveur, specialist in vine management and arboriculture, proposes a holistic approach to better understand the morphology, anatomy and physiology of vines and woody plants.

The Marceau Bourdarias method and its influence

Maxime Pourveur is a member of the French team Architecte du Vivant de Marceau Bourdarias, and his method seeks to ally with nature to get the plant to make better use of the resources it has. His knowledge has been spreading to various areas of France and Spain, and is now arriving in Manresa in the form of an intensive course.

The intensive course in Manresa

The Manresa Agricultural School has scheduled an intensive course with Maxime Pourveur as the only trainer. Course sessions will cover topics such as vine physiology, diagnosis and observation of the impact of pruning, as well as practical exercises. There are already around thirty students who have confirmed their attendance at the course.
