Persán: A Year of Record Growth
The Sevillian company Persán, a leader in the production and marketing of detergents and fabric softeners, closed 2023 with a record turnover of 811 million euros, representing a growth of 22% compared to the previous year. This milestone marked a significant triumph for the company, as it managed to triple its revenue in the last four years, going from 290 million euros in 2019 to 811 million in 2023.
Positive Evolution and Commitment to Development
The end of the 2023 financial year was also highlighted by the achievement of an EBITDA of 55 million euros, which reflects a positive evolution for Persán. This growth is attributed to the increase in sales of all its product categories, consolidating its leadership in home care and expanding its market share in personal care at the European level. The internationalization plan started in 2019 has contributed significantly to this progress, facilitating the arrival of its products to all five continents.
Commitment to Sustainability and the Environment
Persán continues its commitment to sustainability through a global ESG strategy, implementing development policies that benefit its employees and its value chain. This approach is also reflected in its commitment to reducing its environmental footprint by investing in sustainable technologies.
The recognition of Persán’s sustainability was reflected in the renewal of the ‘Reduzco Seal’ granted by the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge of the Government of Spain, which recognizes the sustained reduction of the carbon footprint. In addition, the Persán Foundation has achieved 122 job placements for unemployed people, demonstrating its commitment to direct social action and the promotion of values.
Future perspectives
The CEO of Persán, Antonio Somé, expressed his satisfaction with the results obtained in 2023 and highlighted the company’s continued commitment to its long-term objectives. Persán is developing a Strategic Plan for the next three years, with the aim of consolidating its leadership in Europe and expanding to other geographies, maintaining its focus on sustainable growth and excellence in the marketing of its products.
