Sant Hipòlit de Voltregà expands its residence for the elderly
Sant Hipòlit de Voltregà City Council has approved a project to reform and expand the Gallifa Foundation municipal retirement home. This project aims to improve the facilities and increase the number of places available for residents.
Expansion of places and construction of a day center
With this reform, the Sant Hipòlit residence will double the number of places available. Currently, the residence has 21 places and with the extension it will have 42. In addition, the project also includes the construction of a day center with capacity for between 50 and 60 people.
This increase in places and the construction of the day center will allow for the improvement of care services and respond to the needs of the Voltreganès in terms of residences and care for the elderly.
Improved services and expanded spaces
In addition to the increase in places, the Sant Hipòlit residence will also improve its care services. With this reform, it will be possible to receive residents with high dependency, which is currently not possible with the existing facilities. In addition, the dining room space will also be expanded to be able to serve a total of 72 people.
Budget and collaboration with the Department of Social Action
The project to reform and expand the Gallifa Foundation residence has been drawn up by the Colomer-Aceves architectural office and has a total execution budget of 1 million 700 thousand euros. The Sant Hipòlit Council is in the process of negotiations with the Department of Social Action of the Generalitat to obtain more subsidies and aid for the realization of this project.
With this extension and improvement of the residence for the elderly, Sant Hipòlit de Voltregà reaffirms its commitment to the well-being and quality of life of its elderly citizens.
