A popular party to mark the beginning of the new political year
The beginning of the new political year for EUiA d’Osona was celebrated with a popular party at the Embarcador del Ter in Manlleu, with the participation of a festive atmosphere and the presence of half a hundred militants and sympathizers, including a fortnight of young people from Alternativa Jove.
Political priorities to face the crisis and defend the people most affected
In this new political year, EUiA d’Osona considers as a priority the fight against the crisis and the defense of the people who are suffering the consequences more directly. The member of the national management of EUiA, Fèlix Alonso, highlighted the party’s proposals to ensure that it is the highest incomes that assume the greater part of the tax burden, instead of the popular classes. He also expressed EUiA’s opposition to a tax reform that would negatively affect the middle and lower classes, such as the increase in VAT.
Positioning regarding referendums on independence
Fèlix Alonso expressed EUiA’s support for the right to self-determination of all peoples and nations, although he claimed the republican and federal tradition as the party’s commitment.
