Telecinco has everything ready to re-air one of its most popular reality shows: Survivors. The chain is aware that this format has a large audience and, therefore, wants to make the most of its potential. After Gran Hermano Dúo 2 ends, they want viewers to stay hooked on the channel with more quality content. They hadn’t made the start date public yet, but Carlos Sobera went ahead and revealed when it would be before it was official. The program will hit the screens on March 7, according to Europa Press, and from then on the galas will be held on Thursday nights as usual.
Jorge Javier Vázquez returns to television as host of Survivors
Jorge Javier Vázquez will be the main conductor of this new edition, which will also mean his return to television after a few months without appearing. The third member of this team of successful communicators? Laura Madrueño, who took over from Lara Álvarez last year. She was responsible for holding the press conference to introduce the new season, an appointment with the media in which she gave some hints about some of the new things they have prepared for this year.
What will change in Survivors in this new season?
Regarding her role, the girl has admitted that she is “less afraid” than last year because she already has experience as the visible face of the program from Honduras: “I think we will surprise you with many new things. It will be quite a program different from what you’ve seen in other years. There will be a lot of things that have never been done and things that haven’t been done in many years. You’ll be able to see a lot more game in Honduras, which is a part of the spectator”.
With regard to these differentiating elements compared to last year, new locations stand out for example. The idea is to keep three galas per week, as well as one or two summaries in prime time. So they have to generate a lot of content and it has to be good if they really want people to pay that much attention to everything that happens on the desert island.
The presenter believes that this year’s casting will be very popular and, from what she has hinted, there could be new people added after the first introduction gala: “This reality show is very alive and allows you to be creating things all the time time, with live improvisation. That’s what I’m most passionate about, it’s pure gold.” In addition, they have also designed a new wardrobe for Madrueño, which she says is “blown away” because it has “nothing to do” with what she wore last year: “We’re going to do something very innovative.”
Who are the confirmed contestants for Survivor 2024?
At the moment, there are few confirmed names and it remains to be seen who are the most famous people. However, the chain has announced the first five celebrities who have signed a contract with them. Who are they and what do they do? First of all, the presence of Zayra Guitiérrez, the daughter of Arancha de Benito and Guti, stands out. The girl debuts in this type of program to try to prove that she is much more than the daughter of. On the other hand, they have also signed Arantxa del Sol, presenter of the 90s who succeeded in her time and has become a celebrity.
In Survivors we will see Javier Ungría, the businessman and ex-partner of Elena Tablada (ex, at the same time, of David Bisbal). In addition, they will have to live with Arkano, one of the most famous rappers in Spain in recent months. Finally, the last one confirmed at the moment is Blanca Manchón. The world windsurfing champion who will bring a more sporty touch to this reality show.
