The rain interrupts the parade
The heavy rain that fell today forced the cancellation of the Sant Medir Flags parade through the streets of the center of Sant Cugat. Due to the adverse weather conditions, the organization has taken the decision to suspend the event to ensure the safety of the participants and the attending public.
Institutional reception at the town hall
Despite this setback, the institutional reception has been maintained, although it has been moved to the town hall instead of taking place in Plaça de la Vila as planned. The Sardanist Organization has been received by the Penya Regalèssia and by the mayor of Sant Cugat, Josep Maria Vallès, in an event that took place in the municipal offices.
Activities that continue
Despite the changes in the program due to the rain, the City Council has informed through social networks that the other activities planned to celebrate Sant Medir are maintained. This includes the performances of the giants, who, despite not being able to go up on foot with Joan and Marieta, have been transported in a trailer to be able to dance in the miracle field at 12:15.
