ACS Infra: A New Entity for the Management of Concessional Assets
ACS has established a new entity called ACS Infra to manage its concessional assets. This entity groups the assets that are exploited through Abertis and Iridium, as well as with its Australian subsidiary Pacific Partnerships. The CEO of Iridium, Nuria Haltiwanger, will lead this new entity, according to the Official Bulletin of the Mercantile Registry (Borme).
Operations and Development Focus
ACS Infra Tech&Mobility, which started operations on December 19, is dedicated to the development and operation of transport, education, health, energy, digitization and sustainable mobility assets, both in ‘greenfield’ and ‘brownfield’ projects. The ‘greenfield’ branch will be developed by Iridium and Pacific Partnerships, while the ‘brownfield’ segment will continue under Abertis, especially as a motorway operator.
Structural Simplification
The CEO of ACS, Juan Santamaría, explained that this new structure seeks to simplify the company’s organization by integrating its operations. The joint project portfolio already includes 91 assets, with a total invested capital of 1.2 billion euros, with a prominent presence in Europe, North America and Asia Pacific.
Organizational Structure
In addition to ACS Infra, the organizational chart of the multinational is divided into two other branches: ACS Engineering and Construction, focused on civil works and general construction projects, and ACS Solucions Integrals, dedicated to engineering solutions in the sectors of ‘Building, Digitization, Technology, Energy, Industry and Natural Resources. The companies Dragados, Hochtief and Flatiron are mainly under the scope of Engineering and Construction, while Turner, Thiess, Sedgman, UGL, Laio and CPB Contractors operate under the Comprehensive Solutions.
