Families and unions gather to defend access to public and secular education
This Wednesday morning, in front of the headquarters of the Territorial Services of Education in Tremp, families from the Valldeflors School together with trade unions gathered to defend access to a public and secular school.
Claims during the closing of pre-registrations
During the closing of pre-registrations for the next school year, families expressed their concern about the possible closure of a line of I3 in the city, as well as the need to recover the second line of I5 at Escola Valldeflors de the capital of Pallars Jussà.
Reporting restrictions and requests to the authorities
The families complained that in the current academic year, the enrollment of children in I5 was prevented, forcing them to do so in a concerted and Catholic center. In addition, they requested the authorities to allow enrollment in the I3 group of the Valldeflors and that the ratios be respected, as well as the reopening of the closed line during the 2023-2024 school year for the 1st year group.
Vindication of education from impartiality
Families and unions emphasized the importance of guaranteeing access to an education that is secular and free of religious restrictions, defending the right of children to an educational environment suitable for their development.
Continuity of mobilizations
The mobilizations are not ruled out to continue after the Easter holidays, according to union sources, with the aim of continuing to defend access to public and secular education for all.
