President Aragonès considers a three-way debate

With the electoral campaign of 12-M on the horizon, the President of the Government, Pere Aragonès, has opened the door in an interview to El Món on RAC1 to hold a three-way debate with the first secretary of the PSC, Salvador Illa, and the Junts leader, Carles Puigdemont, in Northern Catalonia. Aragonès has stated that he is open to this possibility, regardless of where and when it may take place.

Private radio offers to moderate the debate

The private radio El Món a RAC1 has offered to moderate the three-way face-to-face between the main candidates for the presidency of the Government in the Catalan elections. This arises in the middle of an electoral campaign marked by cross-declarations and reproaches between ERC, PSC and Junts.

Aragonés demands political responsibilities

Aragonès has announced that he will appeal against the resolution of the Central Electoral Board (JEC) to consider the Government’s proposal for singular financing “electoralist” and has justified it by the desire of the socialists to put the debate in a drawer. In addition, he has expressed his intention to demand political responsibilities if the alleged CNI spying on his mobile phone without the authorization of the Supreme Court is confirmed.

Concern about the use of intelligence services

Aragonès has expressed his concern about the alleged spying of the CNI on his mobile phone without the authorization of the Supreme Court, considering it as a systematic pattern of the powers of the State. He regretted that the intelligence services could have been used to control an independence movement.
