Increase in Traffic on the Tarragona Roads
Next Thursday, March 28, begins Operation Holy Week, a time when a significant increase in traffic on the roads of Tarragona is expected. This situation is expected to be particularly complicated, with various entities and platforms in the territory calling for a mobilization from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. along the N-340, specifically at the Mont-roig Bahia – La Pixerota roundabout.
Fight Against the Lotte Project in Mont-roig del Camp
Under the slogan “Welcome to your last vacation”, the collectives want to reiterate their opposition to the Lotte project in Mont-roig del Camp and show their rejection of the agreements made in the last municipal meeting. This approval gives way to a new macro project and the creation of a new industrial estate in Camp de Tarragona.
Lack of Transparency and Environmental Impact
The convening entities express their concern for the lack of transparency in the Lotte project, especially in the absence of an environmental and landscape impact study. In addition, they warn about the water consumption of the battery factory, considering it irresponsible in a context of drought.
Alert to Tourists and Campsites in the Area
This mobilization also aims to inform tourists about the reasons for the protest and the possible consequences of the construction of the Lotte factory, alerting the campsites in the area, as they will also be affected.
