Innovation in Higher Education
Rovira i Virgili University (URV) has launched a pioneering initiative through its permanent training center, which offers a range of microcredial designed to facilitate quick and specific learning. With seventeen new options available for immediate registration, interested parties will be able to access trainings ranging from the economy to engineering, through oenology and chemistry.
Microcredial: Flexible and adapted formation
These microcredials, which are short training programs with less than 15 credits, are aimed at those who seek to improve their skills or update their knowledge efficiently. A key feature is its co-creation with local companies, which ensures that the contents are aligned with the demands of the labor market.
Benefits of the Microcredentials
In addition, these formations are digital, stackable and recognized at European level, facilitating labor mobility and recognition of competences in a global context. This makes them an attractive option for professionals who want to stand out in an increasingly competitive market.
Financial support for students
The financing of the microcredial offer comes from the Microcreds Plan, an initiative of the Ministry of Universities that, through the Mechanism of Recovery and Resilience (MRR), can cover up to 70% of the training costs. This grant is aimed mainly at people between the ages of 25 and 64, while children under 25 can benefit from the Santander scholarships, which offer a discount of 300 euros in enrollment.
Areas of knowledge and training offered
New microcredials available are topics such as diversity management in companies, the management of the supply chain, and specific aspects of oenology such as viticulture and pruning. Statistics are also offered by laboratories, cloud foundations and artificial intelligence, among others.
Collaboration with the business fabric
The URV’s Microcredial Initiative is not only limited to new offers, but also integrates into a broader educational structure that includes masters, specialization diplomas and continuing education courses. The active participation of companies in the design of these formations is essential, as it allows to adapt the contents to the particular needs of the local labor market.
An opportunity for the future
With the arrival of these microcredentials, the URV positions itself as a key player in continuous training, preparing professionals to meet the challenges of the future work. This new educational offer represents an opportunity for those who seek high quality flexible training that fits the demands of a constantly changing world.
