Nearly two hundred 5th and 6th grade students from the Manresa school cooperatives will be recognized
Close to two hundred 5th and 6th grade students from the Manresa school cooperatives will be received this coming Wednesday, March 20, from 9 a.m., in the Hall of Sessions of the Manresa Town Hall, by the the city’s mayor, Marc Aloy, and the councilor for Employment, Entrepreneurship and Community Action, Lluís Vidal Sixto.
Delivery of the CIF to the participating cooperatives
During the event, the ten cooperatives participating this year in the Entrepreneurial Culture at School (CuEmE) program of the CIF will be handed over, a document necessary for all companies and which legally constitutes them as cooperatives. Once this administrative procedure has been completed, the school cooperatives will be able to start making the products that will finally be sold at the Market during the month of May.
Participation in the CuEmE program
In the CuEmE program, during this year, a total of 243 students are participating who have created ten cooperatives at Escola l’Espill, Institut Escola Manresa, Escola Bages, Escola La Salle and Escola Puigberenguer.
Entrepreneurial Culture at School
The Entrepreneurial Culture at School (CuEmE) program promotes entrepreneurial culture and basic skills in the higher cycle of primary education. During a school year, students create and manage a cooperative with the support of the educational community, the administration and other social agents in their locality.
Support and workshops
Manresa City Council coordinates the project in the territory and offers different workshops in the classroom to support cooperatives in their creation process. This year a workshop was held on cooperative values (carried out by the Social and Solidarity Economy technique); a workshop on how to design a logo (by the School of Art) and a workshop on the legal constitution and application of the CIF (by ProManresa technicians).
