A quarter of a century of education and community
The IES Serra de Mariola de Muro approaches a significant milestone: its 25 years of operation. To commemorate this event, the Institute has organized a series of activities that not only involve students, but also invite the entire local community to participate.
Art and creativity at the service of the celebration
One of the highlights of the festivities will be a commemorative mural, created by the white student Albert Vallés, and collectively painted by the students of plastic and drawing. This work of art symbolizes the 25 years of the institute’s history and has begun during the last year.
Logo contest
In addition, IES has organized a logo contest, where the winner, Noèlia Senabre, has been recognized for his creativity and talent.
Returns with the alumni
During this course, a cycle of talks called ‘Alumni are returning to IES’, where successful professionals linked to the center have shared their experiences with current students.
Celebration of Peace Day
In commemoration of the Day of Peace, which was held at the end of January, the students of the Press Department served as a town crier, announcing the various activities that took place in the Plaza del Matzem.
Various activities for all
The different departments of the institute have organized enriching activities. For example, the Department of Mathematics was visited by Alberto Coto, a renowned mathematician, while the Department of Valencian was attended by several writers, including Xavi Sarrià, Jordi Tormo and Gemma Pasqual.
Future perspectives and impending celebrations
Although the school year is approaching its end, the celebrations continue. One of the most anticipated events is the contest to choose the objects that will be placed inside a time capsule.
Open Day
On April 2, open days will be organized with a varied program that will include a culinary demonstration by Mercè Calvo, guided visits by the center and musical performances by students, alumni and teachers.
A great party to close the celebrations
To complete the celebrations, on Friday, April 4 there will be a great party that will begin with an institutional event at the Teatre de Muro, followed by a dinner at the institute with live music, an occasion that promises to be memorable for all the attendees.
