Contracts for Valls City Council
Vallsgenera has promoted an innovative program for the recruitment of young professionals. This February, 10 young people have joined different departments of Valls City Council as part of the First Professional Experience in Public Administrations program. These contracts have a duration of 12 months full-time.
The aim of this program is to improve the employability of young people, providing them with a first work experience in a public administration. This will allow them to acquire the skills and competences necessary for a future stable and long-lasting professional career.
A program for unemployed youth
The recruitment program is aimed specifically at young unemployed people, aged between 16 and 30. In addition, these young people must have completed their specialization studies in the last 3 years and must not have more than 3 months of professional experience in the workplace they join.
Several departments benefited
On this occasion, professionals have been hired for different departments of Valls City Council. Among those hired, there is an environmental agent and an environmental educator for the Department of Sustainability, Environment and Natural Environment, a digital educator and a training technician for Vallsgenera, a digital creator for Tourism, a journalist for the Communications Cabinet, a technical architect for Urbanism and Activities, a legal advisor for Urbanism, and two managers specialized in digital communication, one for the Culture Network and the other for Vallsjove.
Selection and requirements
The selection of staff has been carried out by the IMDL Vallsgenera, which has adapted the selection process to the characteristics of each workplace. In addition, the young people hired have had to pass the corresponding accreditations of the C1 level of Catalan and an assessment of their curriculum.
A program with financial support
This recruitment program represents a total cost of 354,000 euros. Valls City Council has received a subsidy from the Employment Service of Catalonia that covers 75% of this cost. Funding for the program comes from the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, funded by the European Union through the NextGeneration EU program.
An opportunity for young professionals
This recruitment program is a great opportunity for young professionals looking to gain work experience and develop their professional skills and competencies. In addition, it contributes to improving their employability and facilitates their incorporation into the labor market in a stable and lasting way over time.
