The Cartographic and Geological Institute of Catalonia (IGCat) has confirmed that this Monday night an earthquake of magnitude 3.3 was recorded with an epicenter in Huesca that was felt in several districts of Lleida, as reported in a note

Civil Protection activates the pre-alert of the Special Earthquake Emergency Plan in Catalonia

After the event, Civil Protection of the Generalitat activated the pre-alert of the Special Earthquake Emergencies Plan in Catalonia (Sismicat), later deactivated after no damage was recorded.

Earthquake reactions and perception

The IGCat has received about 105 earthquake perception questionnaires and, at 0.14 hours, the 112 emergency telephone number had received three calls in Catalonia. The earthquake was felt in Val d’Aran, Alta Ribagorça, Pallars Sobirà and the Franja de Ponent.
