The Municipality of Escaldes acquires new properties in the historic area
The municipality of Escaldes maintains its policy of acquiring heritage and, above all, of investing in the historic area. The consuls of the parish have announced the purchase of two new properties in the upper part, an operation that will have to be validated in the next session of the common council scheduled for next week.
Details of acquisitions
In this new acquisition, Casa Molines has bought an old bar on CoprÃncep de Gaulle street, right next to the Estopiñán patisserie, for an amount of 600,000 euros. In addition, the site of the old Molà del Puader and the plot next to it have been acquired for 550,000 euros. These acquisitions represent an important step in the conservation of the historical heritage of the area.
Justification of acquisitions
The minor consul, Quim Dolsa, has affirmed that the financial situation of the commune allows these acquisitions to be faced. It is planned to make an extraordinary loan to materialize the purchase, which will be financed with cash, which currently amounts to more than 30 million euros. In addition, he has assured that it is a very interesting purchase if you compare the amount paid by the common and what a flat in Escaldes is worth.
Intended uses
The corporation has not yet decided what use will be given to the new patrimonial acquisitions, but the possibility of moving some of the communal departments that are now in Casa Comuna or allocating them to facilities for citizens has been considered.
