A problem that affects citizens
The Town Councils of Ontinyent and Alcoi and the Association of Automotive Workshops of the Vall d’Albaida have joined in demanding an “urgent” solution to the delay in the appointments of Technical Vehicle Inspections (ITV ) that is being registered in the Valencian Community.
The reversion of the service to public management and the changes in the service delivery system have caused the delay in obtaining appointments to sometimes exceed three months, generating concern about the helplessness of people who cannot take their vehicles to review
Concern and need for an urgent response
The municipal and association representatives unanimously express their concern for a problem that affects citizens. The first mayor of Ontinyent advances his intention to take the matter in the form of a motion to the plenary sessions of the Provincial Council of Valencia and the Ontinyent City Council.
The mayor of Alcoi, Toni Francés, emphasizes the need for an urgent response, as it forces citizens to pass the ITV outside the regions, generating problems arising from the lack of human resources that need to be attended to.
Claims for special solutions
From the Association of Automotive Workshops of the Vall d’Albaida, special solutions are demanded for a situation that affects the mobility of citizens. These are special circumstances at special times, and appropriate responses to these needs are called for.
