An Exciting Start to the Most Festival
The Kubrick cinema in Vilafranca del Penedès once again hosted the opening of the Most International Wine Cinema Festival, which began with a powerful screening. The film ‘Polvo serán’, directed by Carlos Marqués-Marcet, was chosen to inaugurate the 13th edition of this outstanding event.
A Tribute to a Great Producer
As part of this gala, the festival paid tribute to Tono Folguera, a producer with an outstanding career, who received an Honorary Award. Folguera, visibly moved, shared the stage with Marqués-Marcet, expressing his gratitude for a recognition that, according to him, underlines the importance of the producer in the film industry.

Folguera’s joy was evident in his words: “Receiving this award from Carlos is an honor, since producing his first film, ‘10,000 km’, was a turning point for me .” In addition, he highlighted his passion for the world of wine, a topic that often intersects with cinema.

The screening of ‘Polvo serán’, which recently won the Espiga de Plata at the Seminci in Valladolid, was a highlight of the gala. This musical tragicomedy, starring Ángela Molina and Alfredo Castro, explores the delicate subject of the decision to die, enriched with an original soundtrack by singer Maria Arnal and choreography by La Veronal.
