My favorite route through Sant Sou has two main axes: the rambles and the road. I begin the ascent through Ciscu Sáez to the ambulatory, from where I can enjoy a panoramic view of the city. Afterwards, I head towards the rambles, where the activity and joy of the streets captivates me. I go down Laureà Miró and, when I reach Carrer dels Arbres, I sometimes detour through Falguera to discover new corners. I continue through Passage Carnisser, Sant Josep, Rupert Lladó and, finally, through Monturiol, back towards the road. My route ends by taking the Passage de l’Alumini to General Prim and, finally, I take the Camí vell del Cementiri. This itinerary, which usually takes an hour and a quarter if I go leisurely, allows me to get to know the most emblematic corners of Sant Sou and enjoy its unique atmosphere.
A walk with surprises
Of course, every walk through Sant Sou is unique and can be full of surprises. Works and changes in the urban landscape can alter the usual route and offer us new perspectives. This morning, for example, I came across a curtain sail in Ca l’Escala, a shoe store that caught my attention. I discovered a very long staircase at the back, which made me feel a little anxious. However, I passed her without any problem and continued my walk. It is important, however, that the works and unexpected situations do not prevent us from enjoying the beauty of Sant Sou and all that it has to offer.
