A historic day for the Marracos de Lleida
This Thursday, the University of Lleida will live an unpublished moment in its casteller trajectory. The Marracos, a gang that has worked intensely for almost 25 years, are preparing to face the challenge of 3de8 with lining. This is a milestone they had never before attempted, and the emotion can be felt in the atmosphere.
A multicolored event in the capital of Segrià
The meeting will not only attract the attention of the Marracos, but it will bring together five prominent groups from various universities. In addition to the premises, the Grillets of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, the Lunatics of Vilanova, the Patquers of the Rovira i Virgili University and the colleges of the University Zone will also be present.
Ambitious goals for participating groups
The collected, recovered after trying the 2de8 with lining and handles, will seek to unload the 2de7 with lining, 7de7 and 3de8 with lining. For their part, the Xoriguers de Girona rely on their strength to raise a basic castle of 7, while the Passerells de Mataró have announced their intention to present the 4de6 and the tower of 6.
Spring celebration in Reus
At the same time, the Patquers of the Rovira i Virgili University will celebrate their spring day in Reus. The castellers of this group are preparing to try the second 2de7 with lining of the year and premiere a pillar of 6 with lining. They also plan to make 3de7, 4de7 and two pillars of 5.
Expectations of ganapies and other gangs
The Ganapies of the Autonomous University of Barcelona are committed to completing a basic double of 7, with the aim of reaching 7de6. In another place, the Emboirats of the University of Vic will bring constructions of 5 and a pillar of 4 in the capital of the Baix Camp.

In Castelldefels, the Grillets and the Encouraged of the Ramon Llull University they will perform from 16h. In Vilanova, the Bergants, the Llunatics and the Trempats will start at 16:30. In Lleida, the Day of the Marracos will also start at 16:30, with the participation of the collected, passersby, hanging and kestrel. Finally, the Pataquers will close the day in the Plaza de la Patacada at the same time.
