Celebration of the XXI March for demilitarization

On May 25, the Ecologist-La Carrasca group will start the 21st edition of the March for the demilitarization of the Aitana range. This event, which combines a vindicating message with leisure activities, seeks to bring together citizens of various counties to defend the peace and conservation of this natural space.

An itinerary of peace and reflection

The march will begin at 8:15 am from the Plaza de Al-Azraq in Alcoy, where participants will be organized into private vehicles to minimize the environmental impact. At 9:00 am, the hike will begin from the gates of the Aitana Safari, with a route of approximately 2 kilometers to the port of Tudons, a strategic point near military facilities.

Act of claim

Upon arrival in Tudons, a political act will be held, which will read a manifesto that will express rejection against militarization and violence as a solution to conflicts. Later, attendees will enjoy a popular breakfast next to the Pinada that is located in front of the entrance to the military base.

After breakfast, participants will have the option of moving on foot or by car to the recreational area of ​​the Font de l’Arbre.
