Pau Camprovin’s return to the head
The Castellers de Sants have begun a new phase with Pau Camprovín, who again leads the gang after a period between 2013 and 2016.This new stage comes after the resignation of Roderic Pico, who decided to leave the post for personal reasons in early 2025. With Camprovín at the helm, the team hopes to revitalize the collective spirit and strengthen its position in the casteller world.
Ambitious goals for the new season
The technical team that accompanies Camprovín is the priority of the recovery of emblematic constructions such as 5de8 and 3de9 with lining. These milestones not only seek to reaffirm the presence of Castellers de Sants within large groups, but also intend to establish a solid base for future challenges with more complexity. In recent years, the gang has shown its capacity with the 4de9 with lining and an impressive dominance in the tower of 8 with lining.
A new technical vision
The new direction wants to focus on the construction of a ‘magic treble’ that provides stability and confidence, thus allowing for larger challenges. In addition, the team intends to introduce a higher pillar, thus expanding the possibilities of the constructions.
Reinforce community and technique
Camprovín’s proposal and his team is based on three pillars: to build castles, foster a group cohesion and strengthen the bond with the neighborhood. This strategy seeks not only technical growth, but also a greater social commitment. For this reason, we want to implement more dynamic essays and promote continuous training of castellers, as well as active dialogue that involves all members.
The immediate future and the next performances
The Castellers de Sants have already returned to the rehearsals after their performance for Santa Eulalia on February 9. His next challenge will be on the day of Sant Medir in Sant Cugat del Vallès, scheduled for this Sunday at noon, where they will share the stage with the local group and other groups.
Prominent dates of the calendar 2025
Among the most significant performances of 2025 is the Day of the Patio de Valls in June and the return to the Day of the Jove of Sitges at the end of the season. However, the loss of the gang is regretted in the traditional All Saints Day, where they had participated since 2006.
