Inauguration of the Kairós Space
Tomorrow, the University of Lleida (UdL) will hold the inauguration of a new space dedicated to the collaboration between the academic and administrative staff of the Faculty of Education, Psychology and Social Work (FEPTS). The Kairós Space, located in classroom 0.01, will be transformed into a meeting point to foster teamwork and the exchange of ideas.
A multifunctional space
Unlike the old teaching planning office, this new space has been conceived as a versatile environment, designed to host varied activities, both for small meetings and for larger groups. With facilities such as a coffee maker, an interactive monitor, board games and a magnetic board, the space seeks to inspire creativity and collaboration.
Community contributions
David Aguilar, dean of the FEPTS, emphasizes the importance of the participation of all in the use of space. Magnetic board, for example, is aimed at gathering ideas on possible activities that could be organized, thus strengthening the feeling of community among the members of the Faculty.
Adaptation to new needs
The Kairós Space joins other recent FEPTS initiatives, such as the Agora and Steam classrooms, which promote collaborative work with advanced technology. In addition, the Plato classroom has been updated and the Forum Space has been created, all with the aim of adapting to the changing needs of students and staff.
The importance of kairós time
The name ‘Kairós’ comes from ancient Greece and symbolizes a timely moment for significant actions. This concept is essential for space, which aims to be a place where valuable interactions and key moments can occur for the university community.
Playful activities and welcome
The opening event will not only mark the opening of the space, but will also include leisure activities. Psychologists Núria Vita and Veronica Estrada will stimulate board games, fostering the interaction between the staff and helping to integrate the new members of the Faculty.
