The consolidation of a new culinary store in Barcelona
The Training and Work Foundation has today inaugurated the first store of prepared meals delivered to homes managed by people in vulnerable situations in the city of Barcelona. The premises, named ‘Delícies a la llar’, is located in the Sant Antoni district (c. Tamarit, 160) and will generate employment for two people. One of them is in a vulnerable situation and is immersed in a job insertion process, while the other person will occupy a technical role in the structure.
An innovative culinary proposal
This new establishment is added to the seven restaurants already operating that belong to the foundation in various locations, maintaining the line of healthy food prepared and recovered with simple dishes of Mediterranean gastronomy.
Commitment to health and the environment
The ‘Delicies a la llar’ store is distinguished by its offer of healthy meals based on a balanced diet. In addition, most of the food used comes from food surpluses, contributing to the reduction of waste and promoting sustainable consumption. On weekends, the place also provides a rotisserie service with dishes from traditional Catalan cuisine.
A gastronomic offer accessible to everyone
Despite being aimed at an offer open to all audiences, from the foundation it is made clear that the store represents an opportunity especially for those people with an intense pace of life and who cannot spend time in the kitchen during the day working days or holidays.
The place offers the possibility to enjoy homemade dishes prepared with fresh, seasonal and local ingredients, with satisfying options for people following vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free diets.
