With the aim of revitalizing the city’s cultural landscape, the Institut de Cultura de Barcelona has launched a pioneering initiative: an award for the best project to create a multi-platform channel. This channel seeks to attract new audiences and generate innovative trends that benefit both local and metropolitan culture.

Prize terms and conditions

The prize, which amounts to 200,000 euros, will be open to submissions during the next two months. Financed with Next Generation EU funds, it is part of the Barcelona City Council’s Tourism Sustainability Plan, a strategy that seeks to better integrate tourism with the city’s cultural life.

Who can participate?

All entities, companies and associations with experience in the creation and distribution of cultural content can apply for the award. The winning proposal will have to design a free access channel in various formats and languages, including Catalan, Spanish and English.

A project with a long-term vision

The initiative not only seeks the immediate launch of the channel, but also demands a commitment of continuity. The selected entity must maintain the activity for at least five years after the eight-month implementation period.
