Recognition of Communication Research
Marta Narberhaus Martínez has been selected as the winner of the fourth edition of the Montserrat Minobis Audiovisual Communication Research Scholarship, with an amount of 5,000 euros. This scholarship is an initiative of the Association of Women Journalists of Catalonia, the College of Journalists of Catalonia and the Chair Hipólit Nadal i Mallol, aimed at promoting the study of communication with a gender look.
An unpublished study on children’s newsletters
The jury has awarded the scholarship to the project entitled ‘The gender perspective for children’s news programs’. This research seeks to analyze the representation of women in children’s journalism, as well as the topics that address the equality and rights of women in the InfoK program.
Objectives of the research
Narberhaus’s work not only aims to evaluate female presence in children’s audiovisual, but also to identify areas that could improve inclusivity and equity in media narrative. In addition, it will focus on how children’s news programs can influence the public’s perceptions of gender equality.
A Jury of Experts
The jury that selected the Narberhaus project was made up of recognized professionals in the sector, such as Neus Bonet, Margarida Casacuberta, Sílvia Espinosa, Rosa Gil and Oriol Mas, who evaluated the impact and relevance of the project in the current context.
Marta Narberhaus’s profile
Currently, Marta Narberhaus is a professor and researcher at the Faculty of Communication Sciences at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. His career has focused on topics such as media education and ethics in journalism, as well as being an active member of the Platform for Media Education of the Audiovisual Council of Catalonia.

The Montserrat Minobis scholarship was created in memory of its founder, who was a prominent figure in the struggle for gender equality in journalism. Since its inception, this scholarship has recognized several projects that promote research with a gender perspective, with winners that include names such as Núria Vilà Coma and Sílvia Espinosa.
