The Creueta del Coll park
The Creueta del Coll park is one of the most interesting spaces in Barcelona. Located in the Coll neighborhood, in the Gràcia district, this park offers visitors a unique experience.
The park is located on a slope of the Coll hill, which used to be a quarry. One of the most outstanding works in the park is the ‘Praise of Water’ sculpture by Chillida, which is one of the Basque sculptor’s most interesting works.
One of the most remarkable features of the park is its central lake. In the summer, this lake becomes a swimming area, providing an ideal space to cool off and escape the summer heat.
Swimming season
The swimming season at the Creueta del Coll lake will start this Saturday, June 8, and will last until September 3. This year, the season is a week earlier than last year.
This change has been possible thanks to the change in the drought phase and the restrictions in force. Barcelona City Council has invested 340,000 euros in improving the facilities, including changing rooms and toilets accessible to everyone.
Timetable and prices
The swimming area of the Creueta del Coll lake will be open every day, from Monday to Friday from 9.30 am to 7.30 pm, and at weekends from 10.00 am to 8.00 pm. The maximum capacity will be 800 people.
To access it, you will need to buy a ticket on site or through the website of the entity managing the facility. There will be different rates depending on the type of ticket and discounts are offered for groups and large families.
Please note that the lake is free swimming and the use of high heels, water shoes or water socks is recommended due to the uneven surface of the pool.

The Creueta del Coll lake is a unique space in Barcelona to cool off in the summer. With its natural surroundings and improved facilities, it offers a refreshing and enjoyable experience for all visitors.
