A pesar de no contar con Competición de Castells, el 2025 tiene altas perspectivas y con la esperanza de que todos los grupos puedan llegar al nivel del 2024. Antes del inicio oficial del curso escolar, previsto para Sant Jordi, el domingo 9 de febrero, la plaza de Sant Jaume de Barcelona será el escenario de la verbena de Santa Eulàlia con la participación de los ocho grupos de la ciudad (8k, máxima calidad, obra maestra, gran detalle:1.1)

The Future of the Collas: Expectations and Preparations

With the start of the year underway, the world of castellers is gearing up for an exciting season, even though there is no Castells Competition on the horizon. The groups are looking to maintain the high level achieved in 2024, with the aim of increasing their participation and prestige.

Key Dates: Seasonal Events

The casteller calendar will begin to be defined with the day of Santa Eulàlia, which will take place on February 9th in Plaça de Sant Jaume in Barcelona. Eight local groups will join in this event, thus marking the start of the season.

March: Sant Medire i Diumenge de Rams

Sant Cugat del Vallès will host the rotating Sant Medir performance on March 9, with the local colla and other prominent ones such as the Castellers de Sants and those from Sarrià. Soon, Palm Sunday will also be an important moment, with several days scheduled.

Group Activities: Competition and Celebration

The third weekend of May promises an intense duel between the Colla Vella dels Xiquets de Valls and the Castellers de Vilafranca, with performances scheduled on different days. The competition will remain lively throughout the season.

Festivals and Traditions: Summer Celebrations

As the summer progresses, the gangs will face a busy schedule with various events, including the festivities of Sant Joan and the Santes de Mataró. Performances will be crucial to demonstrate their skill and cohesion.

September and October: Climax Moments

September will begin with the Sabadell Festival, followed by the celebrations of the National Day and Santa Tecla. The month of October also promises exciting moments with the Mercadal Day in Reus and the debut of the Minyons de Terrassa at the Santa Teresa Fair.

A Dignified Closing: November and the Last Performances

With the arrival of November, the groups will have one last chance to shine with All Saints’ Day and other performances that will mark the end of the season. Expectations are high and the groups will work hard to close the year with success.
